Plan now to attend this popular half-day event that will take place at the Oklahoma State Capitol on March 21st. Hosted by OML and the Mayors Council of Oklahoma, you will have the opportunity to network with other municipal officials, hear the latest information on legislative issues, visit with your legislative representatives about municipal issues and meet the student winners of the "If I Were Mayor" essay contest. Municipal Council of Mayor (MCO) and the Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) are proud to announce the winners of the 2016-2017 "If I Were Mayor..." essay contest winners. This year we were excited to received hundreds of essays and are seeing a real interest from both the teachers and the students. They are learning the important role mayors play in their communities

Throughout the year OML provides an intensive educational program specifically tailored for newly elected
and appointed
officials as well as experienced officials who want to keep up-to-date on municipal issues. An officer is defined in 11 O.S. Section 1-102
