March Member Special
 $10 Walk-In on 18 Classes!
yellow-tulip-field.jpg

This month I am offering a $10 walk-in special for members on 18 out of our 36 weekly open classes. My accountant is going to tell me that this is MARCH MADNESS, but it just feels like the right thing to do. After being in Colorado for several weeks, and visiting a few Studios there, even though I experienced  pleasant yoga teachers and nice classes, I was reminded of how special our classes and teachers at AGW are, and I want to make sure that you are experiencing that too! I was so excited to come home and not only start teaching weekly again, but to be a student in classes at AGW.

Now - I can't offer this walk-in price all the time (we would need a room that held 40-60 students in each class each week), but I do want to give those of you who are still financially recovering from the Holidays, or think you cannot afford Yoga to have no excuses this month not to show up. These are all great teachers, and it is so much more fun in the room when classes are full!

Chatting with
Donation Based Teacher,
Jeff Cox...

Jeff recently graduated from our 2016 200-Hr Teacher Training Certification Program, and recently gave us glowing reviews in one of our last eNews, but with his years of experience and practice of yoga, I always felt like the one who was getting the gift of having him in our training. As we chatted last week about his new Sunday 6:30pm class, he explained to me why he was more comfortable with his class being donation based. "I have no trouble asking for my fees as a therapist," he stated, "but with yoga, I feel that it is such a gift I am giving, as well as getting, it is hard to tell a student how much they should pay. Some students may feel like a $18 walk-in is way too high when they are new and have not realized the immense benefits of yoga. Others are so grateful for these local classes and this unique Center they would pay more. I know the Studio needs money to pay the rent, and it is much easier to show up every week when you know that you will be fairly compensated, but let's try a donation based class and see what happens.

I want students to come and have a yoga experience, not just learn poses. That is what you give to us in your classes Lanita, and I do it also, just with a little more traditional spin. My class is all abut going inward, strengthening, and moving the energy in the spine. There are very few standing poses, and I avoid a lot of Sanskrit and anatomy terms that would take you back into your head. My goal is for you to realize how easy and rewarding it is for you to be able to empower YOU."

We encourage you to try different yoga styles at A Gentle Way Yoga Center and find the teachers and classes that best suit your body, mind and spirit.  Sign-up for a class today!

Thank You for Supporting Our Membership
Although not necessary to attend our classes, our $35 Annual Membership is something special at AGW.

It allows us to offer you quarterly free workshops, potlucks, and other special gatherings. It lets us know that you love and support our special little Center, which I have worked hard to keep open for over 20 years, and that you support our world-wide mission. It helps off-sets the costs of beautiful prop room, and helps pay for a customer service and cleaning crew.

Thank you for your continued support, your yearly dues. We appreciate you!
