Turbo Resources Moves Forward with Plans to Relocate to Uptown Chandler
Turbo Resources is an aircraft parts distribution company that serves customers throughout the world by stocking and supplying more than 500,000 different aircraft parts. Currently headquartered in West Chandler and spread across multiple locations, the company has outgrown its existing facilities and is moving forward with plans to relocate and consolidate its operations to an approximately 18 acre site at the northeast corner of Arizona Ave. and Palomino Dr. in Uptown Chandler.
"We are excited to consolidate our operations in Uptown," said Turbo Resources COO Eric Hoffman. "This area offers access to a strong labor force and we were able to find a site that can accommodate our company's long-term growth."
During the Feb. 23rd Chandler City Council meeting, Turbo Resources received rezoning approval and Preliminary Development Plan approval for site layout and building design. Plans for the initial phase include a 253,116 square-foot building for warehousing with 44,914 square feet of office with a mezzanine level. The second phase includes a 176,942 square-foot building.
The site is located in the Westech Corporate Center, a 130-acre business park that is home to employers representing a wide range of industries.

Seeking Chandler Companies to Participate in Upcoming Export Boot Camp
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is co-sponsoring an ExporTech program with the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) RevAZ Manufacturing Extension Partnership program beginning in March 2017. This is a regional ExporTech program for companies in the MAG region - which includes Maricopa County and parts of Pinal County. MAG and ACA would like to invite companies in Chandler to participate in this program.
ExporTech is essentially an export boot camp.
Participating companies will attend three full-day sessions (Mar. 24, May 12, Jun. 23) at MAG's office in downtown Phoenix where they will be exposed to Arizona export experts from diverse subject matter sectors, undergo practical training on key export topics, and receive individualized export coaching.
Between sessions, participants will work with a program-assigned export coach to conduct market research and refine their international strategies. The end result for each company is a customized and expert-reviewed Export Growth Plan that helps the company to quickly move beyond planning and into pursuing concrete export initiatives aimed at closing actual, profitable sales.

Overstreet: New Retail & Dining Destination to Redefine Downtown Chandler Intersection
Overstreet is a new $25 million, 77,000 square-foot multi-use project poised to inject an invigorating new lineup of restaurants, retailers and entertainment options plus an influx of new jobs to downtown Chandler.
Located along the southwest corner of Arizona Ave. and Chandler Blvd., the project is expected to open in Dec. 2017. Overstreet is being developed by
MDB Properties and driven by Arizona-based LGE Design Build, with design by Brick & West, architecture by Cawley Architects and design-build by LGE.
"With a signed agreement in place, we're now ready to move forward with LGE Design Build to make this downtown project a reality," said Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny. "This busy intersection is critical to enhancing our existing vibrant downtown. We've had plenty of new additions to the downtown this past year, and now we're thrilled to get another first for our state, Flix Brewhouse, as the anchor for this highly desired entertainment project."
A first-of-its-kind addition to the Valley, Flix Brewhouse combines feature films and an award-winning in-house microbrewery.
"This is the sixth Flix Brewhouse to open nationwide, and we picked downtown Chandler because it's poised for unprecedented growth," said Flix Brewhouse's Matt Silvers.
Additional tenant space is planned to host a range of businesses, from big-name eateries and fitness centers to business start-ups and new-to-the-Valley retailers.
