This week in Chapel we spoke to the students about all that God did in Honduras during the Senior Mission Trip.
As you and your family go about life this week, consider the following questions for conversation:
CONVERSATIONS STARTERS: Read through Acts 1:8
- “Acts 1:8 is primarily used as a verse that is all about missions…but what is the actual promise that Jesus gave His disciples in this verse?”
- “What does it mean to receive power from the Holy Spirit?”
- “What do you think the differences are in the life of a person who is empowered by the Holy Spirit and the life of a person who is not empowered by the Holy Spirit?”
- “Why do you think that it seems (although He’s not!) that the Holy Spirit is more powerful in a place like Honduras than He is back home?”
- “If we truly want to experience the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, what are some specific steps that we must take? What will those steps cost you? Why is it worth the sacrifice?
- “How can I pray for you?”
Thank you so much for continuing in your homes the conversations that we have in our Chapels.
So glad to be partnering together with you!
Ben Wallis Director of Spiritual Life
