 I don't know about you, but I know it's March and I want to see more hiking trails like this in my life :) Aside from the past week's wind and slight chill (cold if you ask me but I have a very small comfort temp zone), we have had a beautiful February and I am so looking forward to being outside! Come this weekend, in the 80s, it will be a crime to stay inside! The good old Farmer's Almanac projects March to be mostly sunny and warm - perfect springtime! I am looking forward to the spring weather, spring training, spring break, spring colors, spring flowers, etc :) I hope you are as well!

Weeds Weeds, Go Away!
With all of this fantastic weather we have on deck, these little boogers will be in full force before we know it. You can either start
eating weeds in your salad (for reals!
Check it out here) or you can get started on prevention.
There are several products that work well depending on how you prefer to apply product and where it is being applied. If you are ahead of the curve and haven't seen any unwelcome green in your gravel, driveways, sidewalks or around established trees and bushes, you can start with a pre-emergent like Weed Impede (SKU 7201957). It comes in a liquid concentrate and is a 2-in-1 so it works as both a pre and post emergent - handy to have around the house, but not to be used to prevent weeds in your lawn. For that I would suggest Scotts Turf Builder Weed and Feed All Seasons (SKU
7430952) It's a granular product that can be applied on a wet lawn in late spring when weeds are actively growing. These are just two products that you can find at Paul's and can be used, but like I mentioned, there are several products that work just as well. To Do This Month
Join us tonight, March 2nd from 4:30-8 at the 6th Annual Geeks Night Out at the Tempe Community Complex. This is a free, family friendly event that showcases all kinds of fun and educational displays, demonstrations, experiments and more all while blending science, technology, engineering, arts and math. This is the first time we have been involved in this event and we are really looking forward to it! Go and say "Hi!" to Sarah, Ronna and Jared!
 Later in the month, head out and support the Kiwanis Neuvo Club at the 13th Annual Catch a Wave Car Show on March 18th on the grass at Kiwanis Park in Tempe! Go enjoy the music, silent auctions, exhibits and more with proceeds to benefit valley children's charities such as Boys and Girls Club of Tempe. You might just see a familiar red truck out there!
