Friends RSVP Volunteers Make a Difference

In 2016, 499 Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers  contributed close to 70,000 hours of service in Rockingham, Strafford, Belknap and Merrimack Counties.

Our volunteers supported local soup kitchens, food pantries, senior centers, arts organizations and non-profits and public agencies of all kinds.

If you would like to learn more about the RSVP Program, attend an upcoming orientation on April 27th from 2-3pm at the Friends Program office.  Please RSVP by calling 228-0139 or email.
RSVP Business Sponsors

The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is grateful for the continued financial support of Concord Orthopaedics and Sanel Auto Parts.

Program Sponsor, Concord Orthopaedics, has been a big supporter of the RSVP Bone Builders Program and understands the value the senior strength exercise classes have improving bone and muscle strength, balance, circulation and general  overall health.

Program Supporter, Sanel Auto Parts, knows the importance of the Caregivers Program, which provides door-through-door transportation for medical appointments and basic needs, including staying with seniors to assist them, companionship and providing telephone reassurance.

RSVP and Foster Grandparent Funding Concerns

On February 17th, the New York Times
reported that the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that supports the Senior Corps programs, has been included on a list of federal agencies to be eliminated in the FY 2018 federal budget.

Friends 650 RSVP and Foster Grandparent volunteers served more than 180,000 hours to support at-risk children, home-bound seniors, food insecure families and many other in 2016.

We hope that the value that these programs bring to NH communities and our seniors volunteers is recognized and continued.
Thank You......
