TOMORROW World Day of Prayer
Church Women United invites you to Cherryvale UMC, Cherry Hill Drive, Staunton on March 3 at 9:30am to join in the World Day of Prayer 2017 "Am I Being Unfair to You?" A Glimpse of the Philippine Situation.
Interfaith Lenten Program
This year's lenten program begins soon and we hope you will plan to attend!  On five Wednesdays during Lent, we will join together with Emmanuel, Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, the Temple House of Israel, and the Islamic Center of the Shenandoah Valley for a pot luck meal, conversation, and talks. Our theme this year is  Holy Things:   Holy Books , Holy Messengers , Holy Symbols,   The Holy One, and  Holy Life.  So plan to bring a labeled pot luck dish each Wednesday to the place designated below. We will eat at 6:00p.m. and the program will begin around 6:30, ending at 7:00p.m. 

March 8       at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, 936 Sudbury Street
March 15     at Trinity Episcopal, 214 W. Beverley Street
March 22     at Islamic Center of the Shenandoah Valley, 1330 Country Club Drive, Harrisonburg

April 5          at Emmanuel, 300 W. Frederick Street.

Name Plaques
We have a dedicated volunteer who would like to make a wooden name plaque for any child at Trinity. If you would like one of these for your child please email communications@trinitystaunton.org with the first name (or go by name) of your child.

Daylight Savings Time begins on  March 12. Please remember to "spring" forward 1 hour!

Walk for Hope
The Walk for Hope highlights the need for awareness of mental health issues such as depression, suicide prevention, and the need to remove the stigma which keeps such things from being publicly addressed. This year it will be hosted by Eastern Mennonite University on March 25 at 11:00am. The other local schools that participate in the short walk are Bridgewater College, James Madison University, and Blue Ridge Community College.
Lost and Found
Items include: Blue jean button up shirt with horses, black and grey scarf, white and brown gloves, reading glasses, bracelet, orange striped sash, Diva in training water bottle. All items not claimed by March 9 will be given away.


Could Trinity be Available to History Lovers
Trinity would like to open its doors during the summer on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings and/or afternoons. If you would like to volunteer once a month or so, June - August, to keep the church open to visitors during any of those times, please contact the office 886-9132 or communications@trinitystaunton.org.

Guitarist Chris Wyton will perform works by Scarlatti and Tansman. Chris, grandson of Carl Broman, teaches privately in the D.C. Metro area. His concert will be followed by Choral Evensong, sung by the Trinity Choir.

Spaghetti Supper and Taize Service Tuesday
The spaghetti supper supports the youth mission trips to Honduras. The supper begins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7. Suggested donation only $5. Any youth who can come to help out would be very much appreciated! Also join us for the Taize Service at 7:00 p.m. following the supper.
The Healing Service
The Healing Service for Wednesday, March 8 has been cancelled, while Fr. Paul and Rev. Becky attend a Clergy Quiet Day in Salem. Healing prayer will return next week. 
Internationally acclaimed American Boychoir free concert
Internationally acclaimed American Boychoir free concert on Friday, March 10, at 7:00pm. at First Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro. 
Lenten Book Study
Rev. Becky will be leading a Lenten book study beginning on Tuesday, March 14th.  The group will meet at 4pm on Tuesdays March 14th and 28th, as well as Tuesdays April 4th and 11th.  The book, Being Christian, by former archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, covers four essential elements of Christian life: Baptism, Bible, Eucharist, and Prayer.  Please be prepared to discuss chapter 1, "Baptism," on Tuesday, March 14th.  We will meet in the Senior High classroom in the parish house.

Maundy Thursday Vigil Sign Ups
Please remember to sign up for the all-night vigil for Maundy Thursday (April 13). A signup sheet will be at the back of the church beginning on Sunday, March 5.
Memorials for Easter Flowers
Before Easter, the Altar Guild collects Flower Memorials Gifts to purchase the flower decorations for the Easter services and to fund raise for the altar guild ministry. There is no set monetary fee. If you would like to make a donation, please use envelopes at the back of the church or submit your memorial via our online form. Go to our website, www.trinitystaunton.org, then hover over the menu heading of "Members" and choose "Easter Flower Memorials" from the drop down menu. Please return your gift to the Trinity office no later than Monday, April 3.
