Today -- Sunday --  Save Plum Island's Chris Cryder gives an update on preservation efforts . Watch a short documentary starring Sam Waterson about the campaign to save Plum Island. John Sargent gives an artist's tour of his paintings.

It starts at 2 PM at the Custom House. Admission by donation.

Come'on, let's take a SEAL WATCH! 
Wednesday, April 12, at 10 AM.     
The Black Hawk is donating an exciting trip to view the many seals who winter off New London. It's a fund raiser for NLMS.

The seals are actually Maine natives who make Long Island Sound their winter home.

Bring your camera and binoculars. We'll bring the hot chocolate and cookies!
It's a 2 1/2 -3 hours round-trip.
We'll provide complete details next week.

Our Seal Watch takes place during school break week, Wednesday, April 12, at 10 AM.

, Several architects examined the custom house Tuesday -- they're considering their response to our RFP to replace the custom house roof.
The architectural study / drawings will be funded by two years of CDBG awards plus a matching grant from the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation.
