We hope winter quarter has been off to a great start! For this third month of the new calendar year, and Week 8 of the Winter Quarter, we curated information focusing on opportunities to explore your academic and career field interests.Make sure to review the table of contents below to browse through different opportunities.

The Spring Quarter Housing Interest List opens March 1st. We have available space in our residence halls and apartments, for those who are currently commuters and would like to live on campus for the remainder of this academic year.
Room Selection for Current Residents
Room Selection eligibility emails were emailed to the UC San Diego email address of all current on-campus residents. The Room Selection contracting process begins in mid-April. Current residents can visit Room Selection website for more information.
Spring Break for Current Residents
All residence halls and apartments for undergraduate students will remain open during Spring Break. Select Dining locations and Markets will be open. Check our Menu, Locations, and Hours Page for specific locations and hours.
Summer Housing Program
Information pertaining to eligibility, sessions and housing rates for our summer programs will be posted on our housing webpage March 1st. Please feel free to email any questions regarding summer house to [email protected] .
OceanView is now open!
This newly renovated restaurant at Marshall College features 3 platforms: Spice, 3rd Kitchen and Counter Culture. These platforms feature stone hearth pizzas, salad bar, Halal friendly cuisine and Glatt Kosher certified cuisine, as well as a 24/7 coffee and gelato bar.

ASSOCIATION OF RAZA EDUCATORS SCHOLARSHIP
Association of Raza Educators (ARE) Scholarship
The Association of Raza Educators (A.R.E.) is awarding an educational scholarship to graduating High School Senior(s) entering college and college student(s) currently enrolled in Community College or University. A.R.E. believes in continuing to support students who are on a path of pursuing a college education in an effort to continue promoting academic success, community responsibility, and a commitment towards social justice. The A.R.E. Scholarship aims to support the dreams, efforts, and aspirations of college bound students so that they can earn their college education and allow for all of their hard work and sacrifices to persevere. Our A.R.E. scholarship strives to make a difference in our communities and our world by supporting the DREAMS of our students.

CESAR E. CHAVEZ UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ESSAY AWARD
Cesar E. Chavez Undergraduate Student Essay Contest Award
In honor of César E. Chávez the
UCSD Undergraduate Student Essay Contest award will recognize students who have demonstrated commitment to the advancement of César's core values at UCSD and abroad. Winners will receive the monetary prizes and recognition in UCSD media publications.
Prize Recipients will be asked to attend the
César E. Chávez Celebration Kickoff Luncheon on Monday, April, 3rd in the Price Center Ballroom.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 17, 2017, 11:59 PM.
