Employee of the Month!
Lisa Compala, guest service attendant
On any given workday, Lisa Compala, guest service attendant at Second Home Pet Resort, will take out dogs to play, bring them outside for potty breaks and serve dinner. "I provide the best possible care for the pets," Lisa said.
Coming up on her one-year anniversary in May, Lisa especially likes to take part in cuddle sessions
. "You sit with the dog or cat on a couch with gentle music and kick back and relax," Lisa said. "It helps get them less scared of their surroundings and gets them to relax."
Lisa has two rescue dogs and two rescue cats at home. She has been working with animals for 10 years and also is a veterinary technician "which gives me a quicker response time for initial wound care," she said.
Teamwork is important at Second Home. "It really shows in the level of care that we provide and it shows in the dogs and cats as they are happy to come and happy when they go home," Lisa said. "We all have the same end result in mind: to provide the best care. We all want the same thing for the dogs and cats to have as much fun as the parents do on their vacation."
