Spring Has Sprung - Let's Save Lives!
PetConnect Rescue News - April 1, 2017 Edition
Happy Spring!  Now that the colder months are behind us (paws crossed), we are ready to offer some new and different ways to HELP SAVE LIVES, and we hope that you will want to get involved. In May, we will be holding our first yard sale! Time to look through your closets and garage for items that could use a new home. Volunteers are needed to help run the event. There will be plenty of ways to join in, even if you just come to shop! We also wanted to acknowledge that  March Muttness was a huge success, and once again, we have young people joining in to help rescue animals, as you will see in our Contributor's Corner section below!  Cheers!

March Muttness Was A Huge Success!

Thanks to all our supporters who were able to join us
for a night of fun at  March Muttness!

Delicious beer, yummy pizza, playful canines, exciting games, and  amazing
support for PetConnect Rescue combined to make a memorable evening.
Our adorable adoptables loved making new friends as they explored
their surroundings.  Our hearts smiled seeing some of our favorite
alumni dogs come  show off their forever families.  The alum were sure to
share stories of  happiness and hope with the adoptable pups.

Special thanks to 7 Locks Brewing, Jen Salaj, Kelly Grinham,
Lynne Gartenhaus, and all the other volunteers who helped
make  this event such a success.

Stay tuned for our next 7 Locks Brewing event!
Cheers to everyone for making #marchmuttness a huge success! We loved seeing our foster and alumni dogs enjoying each others company as well as the support of their families! #petconnectrescue #adoptdontshop #rescuedogsofinstagram #instadog @7locksbrewin

Abby's original centerpieces
Abby and Mollee
Abby Uhlfelder, a 13 year old 7th grader at Cabin John Middle School, celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on March 18th. As part of her Mitzvah project, Abby volunteered with various  animal rescue organizations, and in an attempt to raise awareness about the plight of at-risk animals,  Abby collected informational items from rescue organizations like PetConnect. She used them to create original, rescue-focused centerpieces for her party. What a great idea! Abby, congratulations on your big day, and thank you for being such a passionate supporter of rescue.
