A Fascination for Hellebores

Christianson's 11th Annual Winter Festival
 
Saturday and Sunday, March 4-5

Hellebores: A horticulture royalty.  When most perennials are in slumber, Hellebores are in full bloom and reign from January through April.

Christianson's Nursery is proud to offer our community two of the best Hellebore experts in our Puget Sound area, Katie Miller and Riz Reyes, who give distinctly different presentations about these winter darlings.  At 11:00 am, Katie describes Hellebore characteristics. At 1:00 pm, Riz demonstrates trending ways to use Hellebores in the garden, as cut flowers and in containers.

The Wint er Hellebore Festival Features Seasonal Garden and Culinary Highlights!
 
  Beach Castle Sweets is a local favorite and a family run operation (inspired by Linda's mother) that offers handmade, artisan chocolate located in Anacortes.  Their chocolates are an indulgent treat for yourself or as a gift.   Proprietress, Linda Lewis from Beach Castle Sweets will sell her chocolates all day in the Conservatory on Saturday 10 am to 5:00 pm.

  March Weekends at the Nursery

Christianson's Nursery will host Arbia Wood Fired Pizza every weekend for the month of March, starti ng on Saturday, March 4, the first day of the Winter Festival weekend!   Proprietors, Jimmy and Arianna Carol, serve up Mama and Papa-sized culinary masterpieces in their wood-fired mobile unit.

Rent Mason Bees!

Rent Mason Bees is a western Washington-based company that rents bees to backyard gardeners and orchardists. This year, Christianson's Nursery is an official pick up and drop off location!

RentMasonBees.com supplies pollination kits which contain safe, local bees to provide a sustainable and economical solution for gardeners, fruit growers and farmers. When your pollination needs have been met at the end of the season, you simply return the kits to us and they will pick them up and do the post care, cleaning, and storage of the bees for the dormant season (pick-up dates may be found on our website or at www.RentMasonBees.com
