SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS

Have I Lived My Life
to the Fullest?

Now that many of us are in our seventies and eighties, TTNer Lyn Richards  is interested in exploring with other TTN members  how this question personally affects them, as well as how you are addressing this issue.

I'm envisioning a leaderless small group, taking place in the East Bay, for as much time as participants want to delve into the topic. I see this as a small discussion group, closed to new members once we start going. It would take place on a weeknight evening, in rotating participants' homes.

Please respond to Lynn Richards,
[email protected] by  March 15, if you are interested, and let her know what you think of the whole idea.

Ted Talk Discussion Group Forming

Are you interested in joining a TED Talk discussion group?

I'm  Terry Arzt and I would like to invite you to my home in Alameda on March 15th at 6:30 for a kick off meeting for TTN TED Talk discussion group.

I would like to hear about those things that are of interest and importance to you.  This group will run pretty much like a book discussion group.  We can watch one or two recordings of the TED Talk conference together and then discuss them. For a link to some of the most popular TED Talks click  HERE.

I am open to ideas and suggestions.  Please let me know if you are interested in joining us on March 15th.  RSVP to me at

sf LuanneMullin TTNer Luanne Mullin is happy to announce that the March 2017 (What's Next?) Sunday Salons will be meeting on March 5, 12, and 19 from 2pm-4pm in Corte Madera.

This is a chance to take inventory of where you are in your life and whether there may be any gaps in realizing fulfillment and meaning in this second half of our lives. As a group we discuss what matters most to us, how we want to be and feel and whether we are on track to accomplish our goals and dreams. If not now, when?

It is always great to have returning Salon participants join us for another round. So, you are very welcome.

More Women in their 60's and 70-'s
Are Having Way Too Much Fun

Women have become significantly more likely to work into their 60s and even 70s, often full time... And many of these women report that they do it because they enjoy it.  To Read the full NY Times article sent in by TTNer Joan Varrone, click HERE.

The Best Tool to Fight Ageism

Are you returning to the workforce after years away or making a mid-to-late career transition?   Then I'm guessing ageism is a b ig concern. Of all the tools available to beat ageism, there is none more powerful than subject matter expertise. I consider it the antidote to ageism. When you're a subject matter expert, your  expertise  is the focus, not your  age.   Read the full  article by Carol Fishman Cohen from Next Avenue HERE.
