Theme: "Inclusion in the Arts: Equity and Access"

"Inclusion in the Arts" speaks to the challenges and opportunities we all face as educators. How can we provide an equitable education for all?  How can we increase cultural diversity within our organizations and in our educational programs to be valuable members of the arts learning ecosystem?
 
Arts Schools Network continues to seek both session and workshop proposals that address these topics and questions around the theme of Inclusion in the Arts: Equity and Access. Do you have a compelling idea, strategy, or process to share?  If so, we'd love to hear about it!

Sessions and Workshops
Sessions: 60 minutes |  Workshops: 2.5 hours
 
Presentations  and topics relevant to  "Inclusion in the Arts: Access and Equity"
Strands  in Thought Leadership and New and Emerging Schools
Trends and Issues  in Established Schools; Seeking sessions in the Performing Arts, Theater, Music, Dance; Art, Design, and Media
 
Sought after topics include, but are not limited to:
 
Thought Leadership Strand: 
Policies and practices that promote diverse ways of thinking; Building inclusive environments and fostering a culture of innovation; Modeling diversity and inclusion through leadership; Diversity and inclusion in global education; Assessing the equitable nature of programs, resources, services and policies; Collaboration and partnership to support inclusion and equity; Roles art and culture play in bringing diverse groups together; Artistic processes that reveal cultural assets and strengthen communities.
 
Presentations and Sessions  on inclusion and equity in the Performing Arts, including, but not limited to: Music, Dance, Theater and Musical Theater.

Review Process and Notification
Proposals are reviewed and selected by a committee of professional arts leaders. Notices for proposal acceptance or rejection will be distributed via email by May 17, 2017. We look forward to receiving your exciting and inspiring proposals.
