Below you will find news and information about the Republic School District. As a reminder, regular issues of Tiger Talk will be distributed on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month during the school year. Two summer issues will be distributed as well.

Information Night March 21 for No Tax Levy Increase Bond Issue: RHS Activity Facility
The Republic School District Board of Education has approved a no tax levy increase bond issue to be placed on the April 4, 2017 ballot for a new, all-weather activity facility on the campus of Republic High School.
 
It is important to note that the
 tax-levy will not change from its current rate of $4.36 if the bond issue passes or fails.

In addition, an  Information Night will be held on Tuesday, March 21 in the Republic High School auditorium beginning at 6:00 p.m. for any patron that would like to attend to learn more or have questions answered. 
STRIPES 360 Program Honored by State Association
We are so proud of our STRIPES 360 team for being honored by the Missouri After School Network! On March 3 director of this program, Ashlee Liska was one of only five after school directors in Missouri to receive recognition for her leadership. In addition Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Matt Pearce was also one of five district administrators in the state to be honored for his support of after school programs. Also, the entire STRIPES 360 staff was recognized for 10 years of outstanding service of after school programming! Congratulations!!!  #repmoproud

Kindergarten Screening Dates Set
The Republic School District is now scheduling kindergarten screening appointments!  Kindergarten screening will be held for those children who reside in the Republic School District that will be 5 on or before July 31st.  
 
Screening appointment times are from 8:45 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the building your child will be attending. You will call your building of attendance for an appointment.

Please allow 90 minutes to complete the screening. During your child's screening appointment, parents will complete the Kindergarten enrollment paperwork. Please bring the following items:
  • Child's birth certificate and immunization record
  • Current proof of residency (utility bill: water, gas, electric; rental agreement, or real estate contract)
  • Parent picture identification
  • List of your child's doctors with phone numbers
  • Emergency contacts with phone numbers
Summer School Dates

Below are the dates for summer school 2017! More information will be released directly following spring break.
Elementary:
May 30-June 23
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Middle School and High School
May 30-June 22
7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Board of Education Election, April 4
The annual election for the Republic School District Board of Education will take place on Tuesday, April 4. The five candidates below filed for the three 3-year term seats (candidates listed in order of appearance on the ballot.) Currently, Ed Cantrell, Denny Lawson and Vicki Neal hold these seats.

Preschool Enrollment, March 25
Republic Early Childhood Center will enroll preschool students for the 2017-18 school year on  Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Early Childhood Center.

Enrollment times are  8:30-10:30 a.m. for all class options.
Enrollment is first-come, first-served. A completed Intent to Attend form along with a $30 non-refundable enrollment fee is required to secure a spot in the program (cash, check, or money order-no credit cards accepted).  

Enrollment will continue until all spots are filled . Once all spots are filled, a completed Intent to Attend form will place your child on the waiting list.

Preschool class offerings are based upon the child's date of birth as well as class structure and skill focus. Please review the class descriptions prior to the enrollment date.

The intent to attend form along with the updated class descriptions and payment schedule are found below.  If interested in the full-day MPP class option, there is an attached flyer regarding Tiger P.A.L.S. wrap around care.
