From the Desk of
Senator  Ed Harbison

Today, we returned to the Capitol for the 39th day of the legislative session. Sine Die, the last day is set for Thursday. That means all bills must pass before midnight.

Last week we passed a number of measures for the betterment of Georgia. You can read the full report below. I also had the opportunity to carry House Bill 510 to passage in the Senate. This bill repeals a portion of the law banning alcohol sales within a certain distance of schools, churches and college campuses. HB 510 also repeals the measurement procedures and population clause associated with dry zones in cities with populations between 175,000 and 195,000.
