Broadband Meet & Greet Events

The EDC's Broadband and Advanced Technology Committee is and has been working diligently on getting broadband to Kandiyohi County.  As we hope you are aware, Consolidated Telecommunications Company (CTC), was awarded a state broadband grant of $4.94 million.  Kandiyohi County is moving forward with issuing bonds in the amount of $5 million, which CTC will repay as its grant match.

The Meet & Greet events will be an opportunity for individuals and businesses to:
  •          meet with the broadband provider, CTC;
  •          ask any questions they may have; and
  •          sign up for future broadband services.
If someone is not sure if they are within the grant project, they may go to CTC's website at http://www.connectctc.com and enter their street address and zip code.  For Kandiyohi County residents outside the grant area, CTC is also wanting to ascertain the community's interest in future projects that may be done.
