Virginia Wesleyan College Celebrates Women's History Month
 
This March, in celebration of Women's History Month and International Women's Day, Virginia Wesleyan's Women's Resource Center - with support from The Lighthouse and the VWC Department of History - has organized a special series of events to celebrate the vital contributions of women throughout history and in contemporary society.

Naming of Villages
President Scott D. Miller announced the naming of Virginia Wesleyan's two campus villages. With the start of the 2017-18 Academic Year, Village II will become Allen Village, named for the late Dennie Allen '70, and Village IV will become the Honors Village.

Empty Bowls Fundraiser Supports the Fight to End Hunger in Our Community 
The 19th Annual Empty Bowls Charity Dinner will be held in Virginia Wesleyan's Boyd Dining Center on Friday, March 17 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The event, organized locally by the Ceramic Designers Association (CDA), has been hosted by VWC for 18 of its 19 years existence in Hampton Roads.

Saturday, April 8 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Batten Lawn
Alumni, students, faculty and staff, family and friends celebrate an annual Marlin tradition with music by the  Dustin Furlow Duo . Alumni and their families will receive a special meal price of $5.00/person. Register to attend online.
 
Tour the Greer Environmental Sciences Center
Friday, April 7 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 8 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Alumni and their families can register for special tours of the almost completed state-of-the-art facility! Tours will happen every 30 minutes.
 
Inaugural Scroll Signing: Class of 1992
Saturday, April 8 from 5:30-6:00 p.m.
Alumni of the Class of 1992 are invited to our inaugural scroll signing in recognition of 25th Anniversary Milestone. The scroll signing will take place at near Hofheimer Library at our 35th annual Seafood Party in the Dell on the Batten Lawn.
