Volunteer at Pre-Departure Orientation |
Students returning to China for the summer can now apply to volunteer at Pre-Departure Orientation with the Office of International Affairs.
Every summer, The Ohio State University offers a Pre-Departure Orientation for new Chinese students who plan to attend Ohio State. The Pre-Departure Orientation offers future students and their families an opportunity to learn more about college life, meet other Ohio State students and university staff and learn important information before traveling to the United States. This year, Pre-Departure Orientation will take place in Shanghai on June 16 and 18, and in Beijing on June 23 and 24.
Students interested in volunteering should fill out an application before March 15 at 11:55 p.m.
The Office of International Affairs will not incur any expenses related to travel or accommodations for the pre-departure orientation volunteers. There will be a mandatory meeting on June 15 for volunteers in Shanghai and one on June 22 for volunteers in Beijing, and dinner will be provided.
You must attend if you are accepted to be a volunteer in that city. Lunch at the hotel on Pre-Departure Orientation days (June 16, 18, 23 and 24) will also be included.
