Opportunity to Participate in Your Government!
Seeking volunteers to apply for important County Advisory Boards
County government works best when it effectively incorporates broad cross-sections of community residents into decision-making processes. (Updated Links below).

Our Contra Costa County Advisory Boards, Committees and Councils are excellent channels for ensuring that our public systems are responsive and inclusive.

That's why I hope that active, engaged residents will consider applying for open positions on governmental bodies. These boards generally meet monthly and advise the Board of Supervisors on a range of issues.

Here are the opportunities for West County residents:
  • Agricultural Task Force
  • Alcohol & Other Drugs Advisory Board
  • Aviation Advisory Committee
  • Bicycle Advisory Committee
  • Contra Costa Fire Protection District - Fire Advisory Commission (Must live in unincorporated community)
  • El Sobrante Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) - (Must live in El Sobrante)
  • Family & Children's Trust Committee
  • First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission
  • Kensington Municipal Advisory Council (KMAC) - (Must live in Kensington)
  • Library Commission
  • Mental Health Commission
  • Merit Board
