Hello Chamber Members,
On February 21, your Chamber held a community-wide meeting to discuss workforce development and the opportunities and challenges facing us in this critical area. 47 people from more than 30 agencies turned out and shared in the discussion. As part of the initial meeting, attendees were divided into six smaller groups to discuss the o
bstacles and gaps faced by job seekers and what we can do about them.
The Chamber's Workforce Development committee will meet Monday to work through these six pages and determine what areas can be moved forward with sub-committees throughout the rest of the year.

As part of tackling our workforce issues, we are participating in a state wide initiative, called Bridging the Talent Gap, to gather data on work skills shortages. PLEASE take some time to take the survey. You can save it and come back later to finish. We want to capture your organization's data to help state policymakers, educational institutions and training providers better understand the urgency of these needs and take action. Bridging the Talent Gap Survey
The Bridging the Talent Gap survey is being conducted around the state by the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Managers as part of a statewide initiative.
The Bridging The Talent Gap Survey, which will be used to identify organizations' skills shortages across the state of Kentucky, is being administered through Chambers of Commerce and other groups around Kentucky.
While unemployment may be improving, the state of Kentucky is still experiencing a shortage of skilled talent. We want to capture your organization's data to help state policymakers, educational institutions and training providers better understand the urgency of these needs and take action.
IMPORTANT:
It generally takes 30 minutes to complete this survey. You must finish the survey to be considered a participant. Be sure to "Submit" when finished with the survey.
If you get interrupted with work, no problem! You will be able to return to the place where you left off by utilizing the "Save and Continue Later" function located at the top of each page of the survey.
When completing the survey, answer the questions based on the skills issues in your local area only. For the purposes of this survey, think of the term "skills shortages" as any instance in which the knowledge, abilities or work place attitude of job applicants or employees is not consistent with the needs of their positions.

The circuit court clerk is responsible for managing the records of Circuit and District courts, Kentucky's trial courts. Additionally, circuit clerks issue drivers licenses and non-driver identification cards. In 1992, the Kentucky Association of Circuit Court Clerks created Trust for Life, an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of organ and tissue donation in the commonwealth of Kentucky.
