Kurt Ersoy
CEO, Segantii Capital Management Ltd

Kurt is the Chief Executive Officer of Segantii Capital Management. Prior to joining Segantii, Kurt was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, initially in the UK and subsequently moving to Hong Kong. At Credit Suisse, he was responsible for managing a variety of Asia Pacific business units spanning cash equities, derivatives, convertibles and prime brokerage. 

Kurt graduated with a Bsc. in Economics from the London School of Economics. Segantii Capital manages a USD2bn multi-strategy fund via its offices in Hong Kong and London.

Michael Gentile  
Chief of Strategy and Product Innovation, ENSO Financial Analytics

Michael is a Chief of Strategy and Product Innovation of ENSO Financial Analytics and the lead proponent of product development. He is the chief architect of ENSO’s proprietary algorithms. Prior to founding ENSO, Michael co-established a European collateral trading desk and built proprietary collateral management algorithms at Barclays Capital. He has held several roles in prime brokerage and investment banking in the US and UK.

John Timms  
Executive Director, UBS Prime Services Asia

John began his career with UBS in 2005 in London within the Prime Services business, working first in operations and then risk management. In 2007, John re-located to New York and established an internal risk analytics team focused on hedge fund financing and large bi-lateral financial counterparties, playing an integral role for the firm through 2008/09. John moved to Hong Kong in 2011 joining the hedge fund risk management team, and has been at the nexus of evolving funding practices, key regulatory developments, and the growing sophistication of hedge fund treasury functions: building client relationship, providing stable financing solutions, and insightful consultancy. John holds an MBA in Finance, an undergraduate degree in History, Politics and International Relations, and is Chartered Financial Analyst and qualified Financial Risk Manager.”

Elaine Davis  
COO, Nine Masts Capital Ltd

Elaine is the Chief Operating Officer of Nine Masts Capital Ltd a Hong Kong Asset Advisor and Partner of Nine Masts Capital Management, a Cayman Asset Manager with over $1 billion in AUM. 

Elaine was formerly the head of her own consulting business, BC Ventures LLC where she provides small and mid-sized companies with administrative, process management and financial advice and services. She has worked for 3 years with Trade Settlement Inc. (“TSI”), a leading provider of application software for trade loan settlement processing. At TSI, she managed administrative operations as well as directed the firm’s buy-side initiative, increasing the number of institutional accounts and developing a consulting practice which provided procedure, practice, technology and risk assessment for subordinated loan practices of major agent banks and buy-side organizations. Prior to TSI, Ms. Davis spent almost twenty years in investment banking, as a founding member of Lehman Brothers’ Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Practice and then as a Vice President to the First Boston Corporation where she again focused on mergers and acquisitions. She later went on to be the Vice President and Business Manager of the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Bear Stearns, and the Director and Business Manager of both the Mergers and Acquisitions and General Industrial Groups at Banc of America LLC. Additionally, Ms. Davis spent three years working with senior executives at Skadden, Arps, where she provided business development and support for the firm’s senior partners. 

Elaine holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is on the board of Colortone Staging & Rentals, Inc., a private audio visual and staging company with expertise in event design and production.
