A message from our Board of Directors (BOD):
WELCOME
STEVE HALE TO BOD: Steve has been involved at the Center for years in many different ways. We are grateful to Steve for accepting this new role and look forward to working with him on the Kadampa Center Board of Directors.
2017 BUDGET: The Center's 2017 Budget has been approved. We are working hard to make sure that we have a solid financial foundation to support this year's month-long
Light of the Path Retreat while keeping regular events running smoothly at Kadampa Center.
EXCITING TIMES AT KADAMPA CENTER: Planning is underway for our big 25th Anniversary Gala event to be held on Saturday, June 10, which coincides with
Saka Dawa (celebrating the Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and passing into parinirvana).
May our intentions and actions
continue
to fulfill the wishes of our teachers.

INTERCONNECTED
~ By His Holiness the Karmapa
As our planet changes and our world grows smaller, it is vital we not only recognize our connections to one another and to the earth but also begin actively working together as interdependent individuals to create a truly global society.

WELCOME FAMILIES: Our unique program offers weekly Sunday classes for children of all ages. Each month we explore one of the 16 Guidelines. During March, we continue to work on how we relate to others as we explore the guideline of Forgiveness.
FORGIVENESS: The capacity to reclaim our peace of mind when something has happened to disturb us.
CURRICULUM: Using age-appropriate resources and stories, we'll explore the idea that everyone wishes to be happy. We'll look at examples of how to resolve conflicts, let go of destructive emotions, and transform our emotions. By forgiving ourselves and using the four opponent powers, we'll find the difference between regret and guilt. We may even be able to understand how and why we do Dorje Khadro fire puja, circumambulate (walk all the way around) the stupa, and perform other purification practices at the Center.

We have recited
668,607 Mani Mantras so far! This mantra is beneficial for our minds, our Center, and all beings. Enter your count all year long and we will present Geshe-la with all the mantras that have been recited this year. Can you see his smile?

Thanks to Brenda D. Lemus for working on our massive Dharma sort pile. We separate holy words from holy images so everything is treated with respect. Soon we will be ready to do another Dharma burn and if this sounds interesting to you then give us a call, we need a new Dharma burn volunteer! Thank you Brenda for all your work.

There’s nothing like a move to show how materially possessed we all are. It’s time to start collecting something different that won’t take up any space...
