Northwestern Teams Win MEMPC PriSim Business War Games Competition
Teams tied with Dartmouth in both competition industries

We are proud to announce that both Northwestern MEM teams won the 5th Annual MEMPC PriSim Business War Games Competition in an unprecedented tie with Da rtmouth! The games began in early February, concluding March 2nd, and included teams from Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Purdue, and USC.

C harged with running a simulated auto company, competitors responded to market changes and the business decisions of other teams.  Strategy was key to teams' success. Amber Aggarwal explained that for his team's strategy they " wanted to seek significant changes, not things that would create small successes. Although we were doing well in each period of the competition, we were constantly focused on decisions that yielded greater results to keep us at a level that our competitors would find difficult to reach and surpass us."

Matt Heise, a member of the other NU team, reflected on the competition, " Our team had a great time!...[It] was a fantastic way to network with other students and apply some of the management tools that we have learned in the classroom. For our team, success came from targeting the greatest market value opportunities in areas with the least market penetration. Once we established our ideal product mix, we continued to innovate, and that allowed us to sustain our market share and tie for 1st Place! "
