At a seminar I was told I could discover my true passion by asking myself what I would choose to do even if I didn't get paid for it.
 
And yet - while there have been long stretches in my 35 years as a lawyer when I worked without getting paid - I cannot say passion was always the motivation.

Lawyers Mutual Declares Dividend
 
Lawyers Mutual Liability Insurance Company of North Carolina has declared a policyholder dividend equal to 5.7% of the final premium paid on your 2016 Lawyers Mutual policy.  This dividend, which will total nearly $1 million, will be paid at policy expiration and represent the thirteenth time since 1999 that Lawyers Mutual has declared and paid a policyholder dividend.

Three Problems Solved by the Right Email Encryption Solution

As I sat down to write this article, I thought about comparing all sorts of email encryption solutions, but I had a hard time writing an article that was truly useful. I eventually rethought my premise. I decided to focus on the features that I thought would matter to you, and the best solution for each problem. And that's how we got here. Rather than give you many options, I'm going to give you my best answer.
 

It's likely that you are one of the nearly 70% of lawyers in private practice who have a solo practice or work in a small firm (stats from a 2012 report by the ABA.) And if you are in a solo or small practice, we're willing to bet you have some of the same concerns as others like you. Perhaps there is never enough time to actually practice law with all the other jobs you have to do to keep a small business running.
