The CDA mobilized its grassroots network of members to reach state legislators before the Senate Health and Human Services Committee met Feb. 22 to vote on
SB17-190. The bill passed the committee by a 4-to-1 vote. It moves on to the Senate floor for its next vote.
The CDA is proud to announce that it ended the 2016 year with an increase in its overall market share. This is the first market share increase in at least seven years. According to the American Dental Association, nearly 72.8% of active licensed dentists in Colorado are members of the CDA.

2017 Dentists at the Capitol Lobby Day as a success. About 35 dental professionals from across Colorado joined the CDA's lobbying and Government Relations team as they converged upon the state Capitol on Friday, Feb. 17 to discuss with their legislators about key issues affecting the dental profession in Colorado.

The ADA Foundation has chosen individuals and organizations from the 14th District to receive grants and scholarships. Of those who were recognized were an organization, Bright Beginnings, and two students from Colorado.
The Weld County Dental Society held a bowling and dinner event Feb. 16 for new dentists and their families in Northern Colorado. The event was a success, with about 20 families attending. With dentists' spouses, children and sponsors, more than 50 people enjoyed free bowling, laser tag and a buffet dinner.
