Lunched and Learned
On Saturday, the State of the Villages Committee organized another successful fundraiser.  Everything from the food, to the panel discussion by the three Village administrators, to the conversations at the tables was well received. We thank the Committee Chairs, Mary Walsh and Marge Massarello, and the committee members, Judith McDevitt, Marilyn Thomas, Marilyn Cantisano, Heather Cunnigham, and Peggy Kell, for all their hard work over the past few months to ensure a smooth and successful event. Also, thanks to Dan Haley, editor and publisher of the Wednesday Journal, for the superb moderating of our panel discussion. A job well done!
League Tax Exempt Status
Do you know what it means to be a tax exempt organization under a 501(c)(4) designation?  How about under a 501(c)(3) designation? Each week for the next two months, we will share information about these designations and how we as a League use them.  What are the differences? What is the traditional League's tax exempt status?  Would only being a 501(c)(3) be more beneficial to the operation of our League? Stay tuned........
