President
Greetings and hope you are off to a fantastic new year. Arc Dane County is already really busy with many events, educational seminars , outreach and collaborations in the works.  We could use a few more volunteers! If you are interested or know of someone who would like to serve on a committee, a board position or just lend a helping hand for a very specific  date and time, please contact the  office or shoot me an email. We'd love more volunteers!   Before the Packer game Sunday, consider lending a hand any time between 1:30 and 4:30 for our winter ball. We've sold 500 tickets!

With so much happening in the public policy arena both here and in Washington DC, there is much to stay on top of so we can best serve you.  Please attend any or all of the seminars the Arc is working with others to bring to you. This also means we need your help to grow our membership so we can continue to fund programs for free or nominal costs.  Help us reach more people WHO NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON!  Consider Ordering  some fruit. You have two weeks to do it!  It is a large fundraiser for the Arc Dane County and would really contribute to our bottom line.

And remember, as Congress moves toward
repeal of  the Affordable Care Act (ACA),  there are plenty of groups, us included  who are  urging lawmakers to release a replacement plan that preserves key protections for people with disabilities created by the current law before voting on its repeal.  Help us grow this year. There is much to do. Thank you for being a part of the Arc Dane County family. We are all in this together to serve individuals with physical and intellectual  disabilities!
