Happy St. Paddy's Day ! Our wildcat leprechauns are dressed in green today to support our very special evening, the 15th Annual NC Fashion Show and Auction. This "wearin' o' the green" is just one of many ways that the NC community has come together to support the mission and vision of our wonderful school. I am so grateful for everyone's effort to support Catholic education and Nashua Catholic!
Our "Complete 180" enrollment goal for the 2017-2018 school year has been moving along and I want to personally thank all of our current families and staff who have been seeking out new families and inviting them to visit Nashua Catholic. Your support is so appreciated! Moving forward, I would like to add some parent incentives. If a current family recommends a new family to visit NC and they register their new student, both the new and current family will receive $250. Be sure to look for other admissions incentives in the NC Admissions Corner section of this newsletter. Ready, set, go! There are so many potential wildcat families out there who can benefit from the numerous values and advantages of a Catholic education. In the spirit of the day, just a "wee" bit of effort on your part will lead to a "grand" life-long impact on these potential families and students, as well as Nashua Catholic!
I hope to see and speak with many of you tonight. I leave you with an Irish blessing:
May God guard you through each night and day
And ever watch above you...
God smile on everything you do.
God go with you...God love you.

Beannachtaí (blessings),
Mrs. McFadden

Our Friday Before Break
We are so thankful to our teachers and visitors, Ms. Clay and Mr. Skarupa for a fabulous Friday before our Winter Break!  The day started with a variety of Mini Courses for every talent, interest, and whim.  As some students were working with physics in the computer lab, others were learning a native dance of Peru, or Zentangle!  Our origami creatures were worthy of posting on the refrigerator, handmade birthday cards will brighten many a day, Lenten books are being put into use, and our calligraphers have a talent to last forever!

In the afternoon, meteorologist, Kevin Skarupa from WMUR told us some patience would be needed before spring comes to New England!  Here is the link to the television snippet from his visit to Nashua Catholic.

Destination Imagination Tournament

NH Destination Imagination Regional Tournament was held this past weekend in Kingston, NH.  The Nashua Catholic DI Team consisting of Max Cohen, Evangeline Rockwell, Ambrose Rockwell from St. Christopher School, and team manager, Emily Cohen took 3rd place in their category, a great accomplishment for a first year team!  Only 1st and 2nd place move on to the State tournament, but the team is pleased with their work and enjoyed the whole experience!

State Spelling Bee 2017 News

On Saturday, February 25, 2017, Amelia Ballingall represented Nashua Catholic at the State Spelling Bee, which took place at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord.  We are very excited to announce that she won and will be representing the State of New Hampshire at the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., in May.  This is the third year in a row that our school has won the state spelling bee!  We are very excited for Amelia and wish her all the best in her next challenge!

NOTICE:
The spring sports information night has been moved to Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30P.M. in the cafeteria. Due to scheduling conflicts with an event at Bishop Guertin, we are moving our meeting to Tuesday 3/21. This meeting is very important for all athletes and parents who are planning on playing a sport for Nashua Catholic this spring. This meeting is not only for parents, so students are also encouraged to attend!
Spring sports include baseball, softball, track and field, and golf.

HELP WANTED!
Spring sports are just around the corner and Nashua Catholic still has a few coaching opportunities available!
Head and Assistant(s) Track and Field Coach. The head coach would work with the athletes to better their form, endurance, speed, power, or jumps during practices and meets. Practices are typically right after school from 3-4:15P.M. either four or five times a week. Without an actual track on site, the coaches can utilize local neighborhood roads for runs of various lengths, along with the NC grounds for throwing and jumping events. The head coach would also be responsible for placing athletes in their designated events and entering them into the meets throughout the season. Coaches may also be asked to lead certain events at meet locations to help with the timely flow of larger meets.
Softball Assistant Coach. We are looking to fill the position of assistant coach for our Wildcat softball team. Duties would include helping Coach Carew with lineups, scorekeeping, drills and running occasional practices. Softball is typically at least 3 or 4 times a week, with games on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Head Golf Coach. Nashua Catholic is looking to fill the head coaching vacancy for our competitive golf season. Practices consist of practice rounds  at Green Meadow, driving range time at Green Meadow, or driving range practices at Golf and Ski Warehouse in Tyngsboro. Head coach is also tasked with helping to transport athletes and equipment to practices and matches.

If interested, please send an electronic copy of your resume to Mr. Ryan Farris at [email protected] or at (603) 882-7011.

Go, Wildcats!
