The 2017 WSU Celebration of Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities will be held on Friday, April 21, from 7:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. in the Student Union. This will be an opportunity for undergraduate students from a wide array of disciplines to showcase their research interests and academic endeavors.  Please help promote this event with your undergraduate students.  The deadline to register for oral presentations is April 7 and the deadline for poster presentations is April 14. Congratulations to Sarah Bostic-Kelley who is this year's recipient of the Top Scholar Award for the College of Liberal Arts.  The Top Scholars from each undergraduate college will be honored at the April 7 Top Scholar Awards Event sponsored by University Libraries, Friends of the Libraries, and Wright State's Parents' Association. Sarah will be graduating summa cum laude this spring with a double major in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Sociology. She was the recipient of the 2016 Most Outstanding Senior in Sociology and the 2017 CoLA Outstanding Graduating Senior in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Sarah is extremely passionate about issues pertaining to economic inequality, racial injustice, and gender and sexuality based oppression. In the Fall, Sarah plans to begin the Master of Humanities program at Wright State. After completing her masters, she hopes to continue on to a doctoral program and to one day become a professor.

CLASS Workforce Development and Kaplan Test Prep will be hosting Law School Admissions Workshop and LSAT Challenge on Wednesday, March 22, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in 229 Allyn Hall. If you have students who are interested in going to Law School, please encourage them to attend this workshop where they will learn valuable strategies to raise LSAT scores.

This week's featured Dean's Student Advisory Board member is Kayla Muncie. Kayla is a senior majoring in Social Science Education. She enjoys being involved on campus and discovering new ideas that will positively impact student life. Last fall, Kayla served as a Peer Mentor for LA-1010, a course that prepares first year Liberal Arts students to be successful in college. She is President of her sorority, Co-President of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, and a President's Ambassador. Kayla also works in the Office of Institutional Research. After graduation she plans on attending graduate school to pursue a Master's degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education.
