Debbie Dadey, Children's Author

Issue # 102 - March 2017

Happy to be starting the first leg of the Girl's Read Tour with fellow Simon and  Schuster authors, Gail Nall and Stephanie Faris. First stop is the Blue Marble Books in Fort Thomas, KY on March 24th from 4-6:00! Saturday, March 25th will be busy! The Girl's Read Tour will be at TWO Barnes and Noble stores:
Paddock Place in Louisville at 2:00 and Elizabethtown at 4:00. Sunday, March 26th The Girl's Read girls will be at the Beaumont branch of the Lexington Public Library at 2:00. It will be a fun day with a mermaid party! The best part will be finding out which school (whoever has the most students attending that weekend) will win a school visit from me!
And speaking of mermaids, I'll be attending my first ever Under the Sea Luncheon at the amazing King Library in Sevierville, Tn on April Fool's Day from 11-12:30.
Skypes with Mexico, New Jersey, Iowa, Kansas, Tennessee, and Venequela are fun! But your school should be next! Live author visits are much better, but Skypes are the next best thing. I still have a bit of room left on my last free Skype day of the year, May 5th. Click here if you are interested.

Are you ready for Children's Book Week, May 1-7th? Click here for a free book week poster and printable bookmarks. You might also enjoy Books vs Looks, where Kiki creates her own book club. Perhaps you'd like to create your own Mutualism Book Club!
Easter Egg time already?

Social media favorites:
Are you an R.L. Stein, Ann Patchett, or Terry Brooks fan? It's
rumored they (and I!) will be attending the Southern KY Book festival on April 21st and 22nd!
If you love to write, consider attending the TN Mountain Writer's Conference on April 7th and 8th. I'll be speaking along with a host of wonderful writers, including the creator of Elf on a Shelf!

The Girl's Read Tour will be coming to TN in May and visiting four cities: Knoxville, Brentwood, Nashville, and Chattanogga! See you May 19-21st! Hope your spring is wonderful and thanks for reading, Debbie
