2017 GOVERNOR'S CUP governorcup
GOES TO THE BARNS AT HAMILTON STATION VINEYARDS
Governor Terry McAuliffe presented the 2017 Virginia Wineries Association Governor's Cup to The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards for their 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon.  The awards ceremony was held on February 21 at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.
The winning Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied wine with well-balanced acidity. It is aged in French and American oak and expresses notes of dark cherry and coffee. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is complemented by a soft tannic structure that is integrated with the fruit. Clove and tobacco notes add complexity and extend through the finish.

SERMONS FROM THE VINE
A Decade of Devotion

This is the 10th year anniversary of Sermons from the Vine, marking a decade of devotion to the Sunday sermons delivered by Pastor Kim Ciftci. Beginning in April on Sunday mornings at 11 am, the itinerant vineyard preacher delivers a scriptural, spiritual message at one of several Virginia wineries. The vineyard sermons derive from the many Biblical references to wine, grapes, the vineyard, or the processes involved in winemaking. For more information, please visit:
