The City of Villa Park has partnered with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) and California Yellow Cab to offer a Senior Mobility Program (SMP) to residents.
Grant funding provided by OCTA has allowed the City to design a program to offer our senior residents who no longer drive an option to venture out of the house to the market, the coffee shop or meet friends for lunch.
The program requires the following guidelines for riders:
- SMP participants must be at least 60 years of age.
- Registered riders have a usage limit of 8 one-way trips per month (or 4 round-way trips).
- Travel up to 10 miles per one-way trip (riders will be asked to pay for any amount over 10 miles).
- Riders will be responsible for a $5.00 co-pay per one-way trip
To register for the Senior Mobility Program, visit Villa Park City Hall between normal business hours to pick up an application. For more information, please call City Hall at (714) 998-1500.
