Editors Note...

Bhagawan has always reminded us about the importance of 'Trikarana Shuddhi'. What we think, we should say, and what we say is what we should do. He has stressed on the need for integration of these three aspects, love being the basis.

Swami's message to the Sai Youth around the world this week:

"Whatever you do, think or say must be tuned to God. Manas Anyath, Vachas Anyath, Karman Anyath, Duratmanam. When the mind, words and actions are different or not in harmony, it is equivalent to an evil personality or an unholy being.

Whereas, if it is in tune with each other, it results in true unity, and the great being is the one whose thought, word and deed are in unison. Manas Ekam, Vachas Ekam, Karman Ekam Mahatmanam. So tuning yourself to God is important.

God whom you love, resides in others. Love one another and help others to rise to the higher levels, simply by pouring out love. Love is infectious and the greatest healing energy. The principle of love is the principle of Divinity, nothing else. And service without love is no service! Also, service done due to 'Force' and not due to 'Source', does not lead to transformation. Only selfless love can lead to transformation."

Selfless love and selfless service is truly the mantra on our Godward path.

Yours in Sai Service,

Bhuvana Santhanam

Satsang and Service Updates
Brisbane Service Opportunity with Homeless
February is turning out to be an eventful month for the youths in Brisbane. Every Saturday, at the crack of dawn, we get up and prepare for the Breakfast Service that we having been doing since we were inspired by Swami late last year. In fact, the spontaneity involved in how it all started clearly pointed to Swami being the doer and merely using us as an instrument.

We begin by preparing sandwiches at the homes of youths, and we proceed to distribute them. It will be pertinent to mention here that the sandwiches are prepared in the morning of the Seva so that they are fresh and not soggy when eaten by the beautiful people that are being served.
Youth Seva Activity in Fiji
What was initiated by a mere conversation between a few ardent youths who identified the need to medically attend to the little angels at the Dilkusha Orphanage in Sawani, Nausori, materialised into a mini-medical camp for these tiny-tots held at their very doorstep.

The aim of the camp was to provide medical screening and assessment for all 37 children of the orphanage ranging from age 8 months to 14 years of age. The general physical outlook of these children prior to the medical camp was not the best and the lack of physical health and upkeep was visible.
English With Values Program (EV)
“Education must open the eyes and enable them to recognize the One behind the many” - Baba
As the cost of living increases in Malaysia, the families that are caught in the development gap struggle to educate their children. These families struggle to rise up to the living standards of high scoring schools. As a result, the education of the young child is neglected and ignored. English becomes a less important language among these families.
Chinese Year Celebration  at  Swami Home February 11, 2017
Following up on “Meals with Love”, the youths in Singapore were privileged to be able to join Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Welfare Services Club (Elders) for their Chinese New Year Event held at Swami Home on a blissful Saturday afternoon.

Along with the Seva project, an EHV Guru programme was conducted on the December 31, 2016 for the primary school teachers. It was mainly focused on integrating Educare Principles into existing curriculum of the school and to introduce light meditation to the students. A light meditation was conducted with the students and teachers and the experience of conducting this for them was beyond amazing!
Ceiling on Desires (COD) Project
Our Beloved Swami, during his recent Singapore Youth Satsang on the February 3rd, 2017, embraced and encouraged the youths to strictly set aside the savings from practicing and adopting Ceiling on Desires. He added that Ceiling on Desires is not about wasting of money and that desires are not limited to financial desires. It also relates to sensual desires, and desires of the mind and body. Financial savings are a by-product of mental attitude. Swami reminded us to learn the basics of Ceiling on Desires and lead our lives well. Limiting our desires now will help us gain control of them in the future. It’s about getting control over our mind. He gently reminded us that putting a dollar aside every day is not true Ceiling on Desires but rather controlling our thoughts, words and actions is the actual Ceiling on Desires.
