Your Burlington Area Y News & Updates
This month there are several registrations open, including youth spring soccer, youth t-ball, and both summer camp options! Both the pool and land fitness schedules are linked. Finally, our camp options are highlighted and discussed below.
Construction has begun! We apologize for the extra noise and foot traffic. Things are going well and according to plan. At this time the new Child Watch space across from the front desk and the new community lounge are being worked on. Both spaces will be getting new flooring and furnishings. The community lounge space will also feature a kitchenette/coffee station. After these two areas are completed, the new Youth Zone construction will begin.

Summer Camp with the Y

Camp McBride is 118 acres of lakes, timber, wildlife, and solitude. A YMCA camp experience is truly one that will last a lifetime. Camp McBride offers a great variety of summer camp experiences for girls and boys of all ages. Camp week long sessions focus on nature, art, water sports, and group interaction. Dedicated and caring staff provide guidance, safety, and instruction.

Safari, Voyage, and Quest summer camps are more than just something to do...kids will be active in the community while building character, gaining independence, and making lasting friendships. The programs offer weekly trips, a library reading program, picnics at the park, and much, much more! This is a great opportunity for kids to have a fun and active summer!

Past field trips for Safari, Voyage, and Quest  include: Niabi Zoo, Fun City, Beach Ottumwa, museums, IMAX theatre, Splash River, Lost Island (Quest), Disc Golfing, and other local water parks.
