neXt - First 2017 Educational THIS Thursday

2017 Chamber ConnectionChamber Connection
 
Join us this Friday, February 17th for Chamber Connection hosted by Anytime Fitness (1605 First Street S), share your business news or information on an upcoming event as you start your Friday with fellow Chamber Members. Bring your business card and a dollar. Chamber Connections start at 7:30 am every Friday.
 
Business Day at the Capitol | March 8th  
 
Once again this year, accompanied by our Leadership Perspectives Class, we will be traveling to St. Paul for Business Day at the Capitol. This year is sure to be a fun event as the Capitol renovations are done and it is open for tours.
 
We will leave from the Chamber parking lot at 7:30 am. When we arrive we will start out with a tour of the newly renovated Capitol building, participate in the MN Chamber lunch program at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront (11 E Kellogg Blvd, St. Paul), and then we will travel to the State Office Building to meet with Representative Baker and Senator Lang before departing at 3:45 pm, returning around 5:45 pm. 
 
Registrations must be received no later than Wednesday, March 1st.
 
Cost for the day is $75, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, meeting materials and transportation to and from the Capitol.  For more information, or to register contact the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber at 235.0300 or contact Ken Warner, Chamber President at kwarner@willmarareachamber.com.

  Willmar Playground Volunteer Teams
 
Willmar's Destination playground at Robbins Island is a community project  and relies on volunteer support from the community. We are looking for  individuals and groups to assist in a wide variety of areas. Volunteer today! Check out the full flyer for full volunteer information. Remember:
  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • There will be three shifts per day
  • Work will be done rain or shine
  • Children can participate and free childcare will be provided for anyone under 9
