Welcome to our new member Willmar Community Education & Recreation!  The Willmar Community Ed & Rec strives to generate support and encourage lifelong learning opportunities in the areas of education, personal growth, and leisure activities.  Check out their website for all of their available classes as there is something for everyone!

New for 2017 - Member Renewals and Non-Renewals
As a means of keeping our members informed about membership changes not only will we be providing you with a list of members who have discontinued their membership following action from the monthly board meeting, as we have done in the past, but we will also be providing you with a list of members who HAVE renewed their membership for another year! Please note the renewal lists during the first quarter of the year will be lengthy, but we view this as a good problem to have.

As a note: there are many other members who are still current but with our anniversary month renewal dates some continue to pay the previous year's dues into the new year if they semi-annually, quarterly or monthly.

Business Day at the Capitol | March 8th  
 
Once again this year, accompanied by our Leadership Perspectives Class, we will be traveling to St. Paul for Business Day at the Capitol. This year is sure to be a fun event as the Capitol renovations are done and it is open for tours.
 
We will leave from the Chamber parking lot at 7:30 am. When we arrive we will start out with a tour of the newly renovated Capitol building, participate in the MN Chamber lunch program at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront (11 E Kellogg Blvd, St. Paul), and then we will travel to the State Office Building to meet with Representative Baker and Senator Lang before departing at 3:45 pm, returning around 5:45 pm. 
 
Registrations must be received no later than Wednesday, March 1st.
 
Cost for the day is $75, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, meeting materials and transportation to and from the Capitol.  For more information, or to register contact the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber at 235.0300 or contact Ken Warner, Chamber President at kwarner@willmarareachamber.com.
First Dollar & New Member Visits
 
Ambassadors presented a First Dollar certificate to Geist Werks owned by Mike Geister located in New London.
 
Ambassadors also made a New Member visit to H&R Block in Willmar to thank them for joining the Chamber. They are located between State Farm Mick Quinn and McDonalds.
 
Willmar Area Networking Social February 9th
