The Vestry, having unanimously accepted the recommendation from the Search Committee, is happy to announce the Reverend Perry E. Mullins as the next Rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
Welcome Reverend Perry E. Mullins!

Father Mullins grew up in Plano at a small, tight-knit Episcopal Church and discerned his calling to the priesthood in college while working as a youth minister. While attending The University of Texas at San Antonio, he met his wife, Sarah and they were married just weeks after graduation.  Perry graduated with honors from UTSA and immediately moved to Austin, where Perry began his studies at the Seminary of the Southwest.  After again graduating with honors from seminary, they moved back to Dallas where Father Mullins was ordained in 2014. He has been serving at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Dallas since then. Perry and Sarah have an eight month-old son, Lucas, and a dog named Sadie. Sarah works as the Director of Project Management at Iluminere, the digital branch of the Loomis Advertising Agency in Dallas, and enjoys photography in her spare time. They love going to movies and trying new restaurants, and Father Mullins enjoys Rangers baseball, cooking, and hiking. They are very excited to meet the congregation and look forward to being a part of St. Peter’s.

From Father Mullins
My first Sunday with you will be Palm Sunday, April 9th. I will preach and celebrate all services that day, and I'm excited to get to know you all at the parish picnic that afternoon. I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running and becoming a part of the community. I love the emphasis St. Peter's has on worship, outreach, and community, and I hope to help you further your mission and ministry to the people of McKinney! Please know that you are in my prayers in the meantime, and I would ask for yours as well.
