What are your thoughts about other sign companies from other suburbs advertising their business on your turf with corflute signs on road ways/fences etc. How do you react or respond?
-
If you are worried about this you have deeper issues than a little sign on a fence. What's next? Block their website, Facebook page or Yellow Pages ads from being able to be viewed on the internet in your area? What about a rule that you can only do signs for companies that exist in "your turf" would this make you feel better? Make sure you don't do any signs for someone outside the boundaries! The best strategy is to develop a point of difference to your competitor e.g. give superior service, use better design, use better high quality, longer lasting substrates. Who do these little random signs on fences appeal to anyway - my guess it is the lowest, cheapest, small budget market out there - best of luck to you if this is your target audience but I guess someone needs to look after them!
-
Competition is a great thing... Concentrate on your business and what you do best and what you can offer your clients... You cannot control what someone else does, so do not try! Keep informed of your opposition, what they do, what they offer and the quality of their product and service. Market research on your competitors is great - knowledge is power! You can only control what is in your own circle of influence so concentrate on that. Be proactive with your own business and clients not reactive to your competitors actions!!! It sucks, when other companies come into your area, the only thing we do is up our advertising on social media usually it works out with being local -
-
That's easy, just place twice as much and twice as big as they have on their turf. Don't complain, what goes around comes around!
- If you are awesome customers won't go elsewhere and they will tell their friends too. A corflute sign with a budget price on it placed at the side of a road will only attract customers you don't want anyway.
- Simply reciprocate and advertise on his turf.
(As a publishing practice to protect ourselves from any potential liability, company and individual names that are referred to negatively in any of these comments are removed.
In addition we reserve the right to remove comments that are blatant advertising for one product or company)
