Do you think that static printed signage is under threat from 3D and Digital signage?
- Digital Signage is definitely impacting on some areas of my business and I think will be the biggest threat in terms of the long term viability of some sectors of our market. At the moment expense is Digital signage's biggest turn off for the majority, but that will surely change as the market becomes more competitive.
- The Sign industry has always been at the forefront of technological advancement. 3D and Digital Signage will become the norm in a few short years and other forms of signage will find their level, in the same way that Vinyl plotters began to make traditional sign writers redundant and digital printing has given rise to businesses printing their own signs. The new dawn of 3D printing will become a staple in our homes as the younger generations utilize these tools, for at this point unknown reasons, the Skills required to create good signage will all be available online, therefore templates and designs relevant to a business or individual, designed to highly refined standards, will be available at a click of a button. The need for local designers will be as relevant as the need to buy from a bricks and mortar shop, rather than online is today.
- Absolutely. Over the last couple of years digital displays are taking over. Highway billboards, shopping centre void signs, shop front windows, shopping centre poster frames, stadium signage, lightboxes, menu boards. Once they were all the province of large and grand format digital, now they are converting to digital displays.
- Definitately, but there are still several market sectors open to us.
- 3D and digital is still too expensive for many clients, so we are safe for a while.

Smile: It's only Monday!
Especially for English Language Lovers..
Can any one tell the difference between 'Completed' and 'Finished'?
No dictionary has ever been able to define the difference between 'Complete' and 'Finished.' However, in a linguistic conference, held in London England, Thulaseedharan B an Indian British was the clever winner.
His final challenge was this.
His response was: When you marry the right woman, you are 'Complete.' If you marry the wrong woman, you are 'Finished.' And , when the right woman catches you with the wrong woman, you are 'Completely Finished.' His answer received a five minute standing ovation.
