It's been some time since we've reached out as we only want to share information that has value to those we serve; we all get too much email.

With that said, in case you missed it, Barbara Cimaglio, Deputy Commissioner, VT Department of Health and Rick DiStefano, Vice President of Clinical Services and Chief Operating Officer at Valley Vista joined Darren Perron and Jennifer Costa of WCAX-TV's "You Can Quote Me." During this segment, Barbara and Rick discussed the closing of Maple Leaf Farm, the impact of the closure and loss of 41 inpatient beds, and how the State and Valley Vista are working together to help make up for the loss along with Recovery Inc. that will make 10 beds available at Grace House in Rutland, Vermont.

The segment aired this past Sunday, February 26th at 7:30am. You can view the entire segment of "You Can Quote Me" by clicking here or by visiting WCAX.com.

Valley Vista is honored to be working with the State and in a position to expand its services to help people suffering from substance use disorder with the anticipated opening of its 20-bed facility in Vergennes, Vermont.

As you'll see in the segment, we hope to open Vergennes in the next four to five weeks and anticipate hiring approximately 30 addiction recovery professionals. This, we expect, will help alleviate the shortage of beds in Vermont. If you have interest in working with Valley Vista in Vergennes, please send your resume along with a cover note to Jenny Gilman at [email protected].

We'll continue to keep you posted about the opening of the Vergennes as well as any other important news about Valley Vista and the treatment of substance use disorder around New England.

We hope you're enjoying a great start to your day!
