Student Council: Eligibility forms are due by the end of the day on Monday.

Dance Team: We will practice this week Monday through Wednesday until 4:10. We will have our first performance at approximately 3:50 on Thursday. They will be able to ride the 4:10 bus on Thursday. Our next performance will be on Monday, March 6 at appoximately 4:10 PM. On this performance day the girls will need a ride at about 4:25 PM or they may return to the gym and watch the game until the 5:20 bus. They will NOT make the 4:10 bus on Monday. Please come cheer us on.

Games Club: Games club will meet on WED March 1st until 4:05.

Girls Basketball: 6th grade girls will have in house league games Monday and Thursday. There is no practice this week and last game is on Thursday March 2nd.. There is a 4:15 bus or you need a ride.

STUDENT COUNCIL FUNDRAISER -

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 27TH

Student Council is holding a fundraiser this week to donate money to a family that lost all of their belongings and home in a fire. Any donation would be greatly appreciated! 

On Tuesday, February 28th if the entire school raises $300 then all students may wear HOODIES UP or HATS on the next day.  

On Wednesday, March 1st if the entire school raises an additional $300 then all students may wear PAJAMAS on the next day. 

On Thursday, March 2nd if the entire school raises and additional $300 then all students may dress in Hawaiian clothes the following day. 

IF THE ENTIRE SCHOOL MEETS OUR GOAL OF RAISING $1,000 students will participate in a teacher switch period the following week. (8th grade students go back to 6th, 6th to 7th, and 7th to 8th!)

Now is the time to buy your yearbook! Place your order by the end of this week to guarantee a yearbook saved for you. There will be a limited quantity of yearbooks for sale at the end of the year, but plan ahead and buy one now!  Please note that personalization is no longer an option.

SCIENCE FUN!
7th grade science students are using M&Ms to show subatomic structures. They are also using molecular model kits to show how atoms of elements combine to make compounds.

ORCHESTRA FUN ON ELECTRIC INSTRUMENTS!
LGMS Orchestra students recently practiced on the electric instruments, playing Shut Up and Dance, their combined piece for the Feb 28 concert.

The Wisconsin Forward Exam is Coming this Spring! The Wisconsin Forward Exam is a state-wide exam designed to gauge how well students are doing in relation to the Wisconsin Academic Standards. These standards outline what students should know and be able to do in order to be college and career ready. The Forward Exam is administered online in the spring of each school year for Grades 3-8 in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics; Grades 4 and 8 in Science; and Grades 4, 8, and 10 in Social Studies. The Forward Exam will be given in schools between March 20 and May 5, 2017. Specific dates will be provided soon. Visit our website for more information at Wisconsin Forward Exam.
