Contrx Industries has developed a new articulating arm jib. On a conventional articulated jib, a hoist hangs from the end of the articulated arm.
Contrx' new design has a hoist which lifts and lowers the entire articulated arm.
In certain situations, this can be an advantage in that the headroom from the hook attachment point at the end of the boom to the load is greatly reduced.
The unit is also portable and has a 150 lb load rating.
