LOUDEN PATENTED TRACK UPDATE
Our primary supplier of patented track runway for underhung cranes is Acco Louden. Patented track is made of 3 pieces (bottom tee, web, and top flange) which are welded together in a special welding machine which make four welds at the same time to connect the 3 pieces. The bottom tee is a high carbon, high manganese steel which is exceptionally durable.
Louden has increased the height of the bottom tee by 1/4". This allows them to increase the through put on the track welding machine. In order to accommodate this change the splice holes and endstop holes on new track have increased 1/4" in height on the track. As a result, when new track with the taller tee is spliced to older track, an offset splice will be required. Also the universal end stops are not interchangeable between new and old track. Detailed information on these changes can be found at: (link to Louden pages).
ANVER VACUUM LIFTER ISSUE
Anver Corporation has discovered a maintenance issue with the VLS-08 (Vacuum Leakage Sensor & Warning System, 9V Battery Powered). A specific revision (Rev K) of the software that manages the battery life is not performing as designed, causing the unit to not go fully into sleep mode when not in use, draining the battery and causing the battery life to be greatly reduced.

IMPORTANT: This is NOT a safety issue, but we do recommend replacing the unit so your batteries will last longer.
If the VLS-08 has the Part Number 42000004 Rev K or 42000005 Rev K, (please see attached PDF file to locate this number) it is advised that you contact us for replacement procedures. If your system is not Rev K, please disregard this notification.
