"If God gives you a seed, He expects you to plant it; if He plants it for you,
He expects you to water it; if He waters it for you, He expects you to prune it;
if He prunes and keeps it for you, He expects you to harvest it; if He harvest
it for you, He expects you to store it; if He stores it for you, He expects you to
keep it safe from getting rotten and if He keeps it from getting rotten for you,
He expects you to account for the seed. Yes! Life is all about purposefully
fulfilling a purpose. We are expected to be doing something at each moment
in our life or we live without purposefully living."
In all parts of your path, know that you are here to uphold a relationship with the divine. At any point in time we may be watering, pruning, harvesting, or protecting the good creations that are bestowed from our co-creative lives. Nothing is static, nor should it be. It is always growing and evolving.
Such is our studio that we know and love. It is evolving, from its place of origin, outgrowing some elements and just fitting into others. Suffering is bred when we cling to just one picture of life and forget that we are part of an organic process. The more engaged we are, the more the flow carries us. As you see schedule changes coming up these next couple of months, remind yourself of the way a baby grows, learning by trial and error what it needs for success and pleasure. Just as you are carving out your story, the studio is as well.
Here is the mission statement of The Shift
as we move forward this year:
The Shift is a place for one to study their physical experience as a spiritual being, through therapy, movement, breath and fellowship.
The offerings at the studio are becoming even more scrupulously tuned toward that mission, despite the many offers and suggestions that I get. Your job is to show up, to attend to your questions, your callings, and your work toward knowing thyself.
The Shift is here for you on your spiritual and physical journey, whatever part of the dance you are in. We honor the divine evolution!
(By the way, if you would like to make a donation to the studio, a donation button is now available on the studio home page,
just below the introduction video)
