The MJFF tradition of featuring free screenings of films of interest to youth, seniors and the disabled community continues with a selection of fascinating documentaries. And this year we've added a special family event for young children. 

There is free admission for all of these films but we do ask you to reserve a ticket so we can anticipate the size of our a udience.

A Special Family Event at the PMA Sunday, March 19th 11:30

In this animated classic, Fievel is a young Russian mouse separated from his parents on the way to America, a land they think is without cats. When he arrives alone in the New World, he never gives up hope,  searches for his family and makes new friends. Appropriate for ages 4 and up. This family event at the PMA includes the film, a family activity and refreshments.  Reserve tickets here

For high school students, an inspiring & timely documentary 
Freedom Runners
Our Youth Offering is a moving Israeli documentary about a dedicated teacher, who starts a running club for his students, who are African asylum seekers. His efforts inspire both his students and the larger society to examine the place of illegal immigrants in their country.  Sunday 3-19 1:00 PM at Talbot Hall in Luther Bonney Hall on USM Campus.   Reserve tickets here.

A group of remarkable young people with Down syndrome embarks on a trip through the Indian Himalayas, with their "normal" brothers and sisters.The difficult trials and poignant relationships set against the colorful backdrop of India, deepen our understanding of special needs people and their families. For Seniors, a Different Kind of Hollywood Love Story
Harold and Lillian
Harold and Lillian Michelson spent six decades in Hollywood working behind the scenes as a storyboard artist and film researcher. Executive Producer Danny Devito uses innovative techniques and interviews with the couple and their colleagues, including Mel Brooks and Francis Ford Coppola,  to tell the story of their long and happy marriage.
