Shabbat Shirah, This Friday, February 10, 7:30 pm!

Come join fellow congregants as we celebrate a very special moment in the Torah, a very musical moment in Jewish biblical history. We will offer musical praise as did our ancestors in worship after the miraculous parting of the sea. The service will be brimming with music performed by members of the congregation and Cantor Sobel, who will also chant the Song at the Sea. Join us for what promises to be a very special Shabbat of song and celebration.

Meryll and Michael Wolfman will be sponsoring the flowers and oneg in honor of past president Michael Wolfman's birthday!

Sisterhood Tu BiSh'vat Celebration, Sunday, February 12

Sunday, February 12 at 5:00 pm - Come to Sisterhood's Tu BiSh'vat celebration at Sharon Sobel's house - 8 Old Farm Road Wilton. (Raindate Monday, February 13 at 6:00 pm)  You do not want to miss this celebration!! Tu BiSh'vat is the holiday that marks the beginning of a "New Year" for trees. This is the season in which the earliest-blooming trees in the Land of Israel emerge from their winter sleep and begin a new fruit-bearing cycle. We will drink the fruit of the vine and nourish our bodies with fruits and nuts symbolizing strength, creation, rebirth, and our spiritual and emotional ties with the Earth. A light vegetarian supper will be served.  $18 per Sisterhood Member and $20 for non-members. We will combine this with the area Hadassah group, and promise it to be a fun event! Please RSVP by February 7 at http://bit.ly/1TUT4yc.

Save the Date: Friday February 17 For Our Mishkan T'filah Dedication!

Join us as we dedicate our new copies of Mishkan T'filah, Friday, February 17, 7:30 pm!

All are invited to attend an especially joyous Shabbat service and festive oneg. During this special service, we will be dedicating one hundred new copies of our prayer book, Mishkan T'filah. These siddurs were made possible through donations to the Michael A. Heft Memorial Fund. Michael was a lifelong learner and regularly enjoyed Shabbat services and Saturday morning Torah study with his TBC friends. It is fitting that we honor his memory with these beautiful books. We wish on this night to fill the sanctuary so full that we will need to share prayer books!!

Bonnie, Ethan and Sarah Heft are sponsoring the festive oneg in memory of Michael Heft.
The Gift of Coping Skills: Helping to Build Your Child's Resiliency
Tuesday, February 21, 7:30 pm

Please join us on Tuesday, February 21, at 7:30 pm for a program on "
The Gift of Coping Skills: Helping to Build Your Child's Resiliency (and Restore Your Sanity)"

We all know our children need coping skills when they don't get what they want. This includes anything from not making a team, not getting a good grade, not being invited to a party, not getting to go to a friend's house, to having to deal with limits on their screen time and technology usage. This interactive presentation will use your real-life everyday situations in which coping is NEEDED. You will leave with practical suggestions, skills and possibly a new perspective.
