TWO HOUR DELAY REMINDER On Tuesday, February 14, SCCS will be on a 2 hour delay, with a 9:40am start time. Busses will run on our 2 hour delay schedule.
EARLY RELEASE REMINDER Thursday, February 16 is an early release day for Parent/Teacher Conferences. School will dismiss at 1:16pm, bus transportation and Extended Day is available for registered families. There is no school on Friday, February 17 and Monday, February 20.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Middle and high school teachers will be available to meet with parents for conferences on Thursday, February 16, from 1:45-4:45pm and 5:15-7:15pm in teacher classrooms.
Grades K-5 Parent/Teacher Conferences are held by appointment in classrooms. Please enter at the Main Entrance, under the blue awning, in the Decatur Street parking lot.

BOY SCOUT CHICKEN DINNER FEBRUARY 24
Join us before the SMCC vs. Old Fort basketball game and support the Boy Scouts, St. Mary's Troop 7 Chicken Dinner Fundraiser, Friday, February 24 from 4:30pm-7:30pm in the cafeteria. Meals are provided by Bar-B-Que Traveler and include: chicken, bread, baked potato, barbecue beans, and beverage. Tickets are $10 and sold by presale ONLY. PRESCHOOL - GRADE 8 YEARBOOK ORDER FORMS
Order forms for the preschool through grade 8 Yearbooks are available at the Main Entrance or in the Main Office for grades 6-8. Preschool-grade 5 order forms were sent home with students. Yearbooks are $25 and the deadline to order is March 3, 2017.
SCHOOL VEST AND PULLOVER ORDER The school approved 1/4 zip pullovers and vests are available to order again. Back by popular demand is the Under Armour 1/4 zip pullover. This very popular Panther spirit wear item is only available in adult sizes with color choices of gray or navy blue striped. Please note that this is NOT the uniform dress code approved 1/4 zip pullover, however may be worn on spirit days.

The SMCC Freshman Class is hosting a Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale on Sunday, February 26, from 9:00am-1:00pm. Tickets for the breakfast are $5 and children 5 years old and younger are FREE. Meal includes pancakes, sausage and coffee, milk, orange juice or water.

GRADES 4, 5, AND 6 GIRLS' BASKETBALL PLAY DURING SMCC HALFTIMES Thursday, February 16, the grades 4, 5, and 6 girls' basketball teams will play during the halftimes of the SMCC Lady Panthers games against Old Fort. Grades 4 and 5 will play at halftime of the JV game, beginning at 6:00pm. Grade 6 will play at halftime of Varsity, which begins around 7:30pm.

FISH FRY TICKET SALES
All students in grades 6-12 received 10 Fish Fry tickets to sell. Students are asked to sell at least 3 tickets. Sellers will earn prizes for tickets sold!
3 tickets - Donuts and juice before school
5 tickets - Popcorn and Disney's "Inside Out" during 6th and 7th period (plus 3 ticket prize)
10 tickets - Lunch at HDT and root beer float at Soda Pop's (plus 3 and 5 ticket prize)
Please return money and any unsold tickets to the main office by Monday, February 27 in the envelope provided.
SMCC BASKETBALL SCHEDULE CHANGES
The SMCC Girls JV basketball game this Saturday, February 11, will begin 1:00pm, not 12:00pm as originally scheduled.
The SMCC Boys' freshmen basketball game on Friday, February 24, will begin at 5:00pm instead of 4:30pm, due to transportation issues with Old Fort.
2017-2018 HIGH SCHOOL COURSE REQUESTS Over the next few weeks, students will have access to make their course requests for the 2017-2018 school year. JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING PARENT MEETING There will be a mandatory parent meeting for cheerleading tryouts for 2017-2018 football and basketball seasons on Wednesday, February 15, from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the Panther Performance Center. Parent of students currently in grades 6-11 interested in trying out for next year's squad should attend.
JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS Cheerleading tryouts for the 2017-2018 football and basketball seasons will be held on Saturday, February 25, at 10:00am in the Multi-Purpose Room. There will be 3 mandatory clinics to learn the tryout material. SADIE HAWKINS DANCE The freshman class is hosting a Sadie Hawkins Dance on Friday, February 10, from 8:00pm-11:00pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. The theme is "Black and Red Formal" and is open to students in grades 9-12. Tickets will be sold at lunch for $10, or $15 at the door.
