Victory Gardens Theatre will host a Dramatists Guild Chicago Region Director/Dramatist Exchange on Tuesday, March 7 .

This one-hour networking session will introduce Dramatists Guild members writing plays and musicals to directors working in the Chicago area, and are interested in new work. After each participant offers a brief introduction, dramatists and directors can mingle and talk further.

This event is open to DG members only, including members in Illinois and in the neighboring states of Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana and Michigan.

Priority will be given to those members who have not participated in a Director/Dramatist Exchange in the past 15 months. 

If you are a DG member who would like to attend, please email Chicago Regional Rep Cheryl Coons BEFORE FEBRUARY 28 at  ccoons@dramatistsguild.com  with the subject line "Chicago Director/Dramatists Exchange." Please follow the instructions below, and submit your contact information, bio, and synopsis with your email.

It is important that we receive your response before Tuesday, February 28. The Dramatists Guild members who will participate in the event will be chosen by lottery from those who email before 2/28, and will be notified EITHER WAY on Wednesday, March 1.

In order to secure a reservation, you must submit a statement with your initial e-mail. This one-page statement should consist of three things: (1) your contact information, (2) your professional bio (one paragraph only, written in the third person), and (3) a short (one paragraph/100 words max) synopsis of a play or musical you are currently working on.

Please do not bring scripts, CDs or DVDs to the exchange. Business cards are great.
