Natural Playground Meeting
Thursday, February 9, 6:30 p.m.

Are you interested in this project?  Please join us in the Conference Room as we continue our planning and preparation for the playground. If you have questions, please contact Warren Gartner at kwgartner@sbcglobal.net.
An Announcement for the Whole Congregation

We have at least 14 confirmands who are in need of mentors. A mentor does not need to be an expert on the Episcopal faith. Instead, they must be: 1) open and willing to share their faith story; 2) a good listener; and 3) a person with some time to spend with a youth. If you would be interested in working with a young person who is considering Confirmation, please send a note of interest to Kate Bender at kzbender@sbcglobal.net.
An Announcement
For Youth Seeking Confirmation

  • Please confirm your intention with Kate Bender at kzbender@sbcglobal.net by this Saturday, February 11.
  • Confirmands will participate in Father Steve's Faith & Practice Class that begins on Sunday, February 19, and runs six consecutive Sundays through March 26 at 11:30 a.m. We will have a light lunch after the first class to allow for some social time and additional discussion. Alison Tierney will send a sign up for this lunch.
  • Each student should ask a mentor to support him or her through the Confirmation process. Kate Bender will have a list of adults who would be happy to serve as a mentor for you, or you may ask someone yourself. Youth should secure a mentor by Ash Wednesday, March 1
"Pause with Purpose...Finding Your Space"
Saturday, February 10, 10:00 a.m.

Women of St. Christopher's, please join the Daughters of the King for a program to be presented by Dorinda Dick. The content is about retreating to find your relationship with God.  It is about being still and listening...not as the world asks of you, but as God speaks to you in silence and calm.

Pause with purpose is intentionally finding the space and time to be nearer to God and to awaken your daily spirit in walking with Christ. It is about finding avenues to pause and be silent. The presentation will be in the Parlor.
Love for Waycross

Indy Brass Choir

Join us to hear the Indy Brass Choir toot its horns! This ensemble of 30 musicians volunteer their time, talent, and effort without pay to provide music for area churches and to aid local charities. The Choir's membership includes professional and semi-professional musicians and serious amateurs who meet for weekly rehearsals and perform eight to twelve concerts a year.
The choir includes trumpets, trombones, horns, euphoniums, tubas, and percussion.
A free will offering will be collected to support one of St. Christopher's outreach charities, Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank. Please invite your friends and neighbors. Let's fill the church!

Scout Sunday
March 5, 10:00 a.m.

Sunday, March 5 will be Scout Sunday at St. Christopher's. Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms to church that day, and they will be recognized during the 10 a.m. service.

After the service, all scouts are welcome to participate in programs with snacks and fun learning activities. Girl Scouts will be earning their annual "My Promise, My Faith" pins, focusing  this year on what it means to be "Courageous and Strong" in their faith.  Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, will learn about the twelfth point of the Scout Law, Reverence. The boys will also receive a brief introduction to the Cub Scout and Boy Scout religious awards, which can be worked on at home with their parents.
